Georgia Dove Season 2022-2023

Georgia’s 2022-2023 dove season dates and regulations are set, so start preparing those dove fields now for the September 3, 2022 opening day! Below are the season dates and regulations to help you plan your hunting activities accordingly. Georgia Dove Season Dates

  • Sept. 3 – Oct. 9, 2022
  • Nov. 19-27, 2022
  • Dec. 19, 2022 – Jan. 31, 2023

Dove seasons on Georgia WMAs vary from area to area, and some WMAs can only be dove hunted through the quota application process. Be sure to check out the official Georgia Hunting Regulations once they become available online (typically July) for specifics on the areas you are interested in hunting.

Shooting Hours

Legal shooting hours for dove hunting is 1/2 hour before sunrise until sunset.

Dove Bag Limit

The bag limit for Georgia dove hunting is 15 per day and 45 in possession.

Eurasian Collared Doves may be taken at any time, and there is no limit.

Dove Hunting License Requirements

Georgia dove hunters need a valid hunting license and a Georgia Migratory Bird Stamp.

Banded Doves

If you harvest a banded dove, please report the band number and how, when and where it was recovered on the Bird Banding Laboratory website at www.reportband.gov.
