2022-2023 Georgia Duck Season Dates & Information

Last Updated on May 27, 2022 by Brian Grossman

Waterfowl hunters can now start planning for the 2022-2023 Georgia duck and goose seasons, as the Board of Natural Resources recently approved all of the state’s migratory bird seasons. Waterfowl seasons saw little change with one exception.

“The second split for duck season will begin the first Saturday after December 5, and end on the last Sunday in January,” said Tina Johannsen, Assistant Chief of the WRD Game Management Section. “This change avoids starting the season on a day other than Saturday, thereby maximizing hunters’ weekend opportunities each year.”
